The ICT in Education conference is being held at Limerick Institute of Technology (Thurles) on Saturday 10th May. Our dojo are demonstrating some of their skills and holding an Q&A with teachers and ministers. Michael Madden and Conor Sheridan are demonstrating Lego Mindstorms and electronics; Zander Guilfoyle demonstrating Python coding on Raspberry Pi, Simon Humphries and Nancy Cox demonstrating Weebly sites, Helen Ahearne is demonstrating her mobile voting app for Android devices built using AppInventor, John Ryanis showing C++ programming and has written frequency analysis program to decipher code,Paudi Ryan is showing his Scratch skills that got him to the Scratch finals last year, Eoin Power showing website development using HTML/CSS and Denis Caesar is demonstrating a soccer game he built using AppInventor. Hope to see some of you there!

Members of our dojo have taken on the role of correspondent for the local newspaper. Cathal Ryan, Jason Heskin, Paudi Ryan, Denis Caesar, Orla Power, Caoimhe Howley, Kali Guilfoyle, Nancy Cox and Adam Tracey will write weekly pieces for the Tipp Star.
