Please leave positive comments, and LIKES, and share the videos with your friends and family. Fantastic work everyone! Well done! If you have created a piece and not yet submitted it, please let me know asap, so that it can be included in the judging. Bernie Goldbach ( https://twitter.com/topgold and http://irish.typepad.com/ ) will do the judging. The call to the Coolest Projects is up online http://coolestprojects.org/
It's time to dwell on some ideas for next years projects. Some of team are shown in photos on the main site. We are participating in the Hour of Code this year. Try your hand at animation, programming, graphics, python - whatever takes your fancy at the following links:-

I've tried to match the dates for the new term with school mid-term breaks etc, and expect them to be as follows (unless I publish different here):-
Setting a challenge to all our members to create an animation, and/or a movie before Christmas break. Best of each category will get the accolade of best content producer in addition to a prize. The animation and movie can be about anything that takes your fancy. As a guideline the animation should be about 3 minutes long, and have a story! The video length of a song see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7SlgVhr4D0 for ideas. Extra points for music and voice overs. Content will be shared online and may be presented at the ICT in Education conference 2015. Happy creating....
Had great fun this week, working on animations using Stop Motion Capture on IOS, and Stop Motion Lite and Clayframes Lite on Android. We're going continue this for the next couple of weeks, so think of a story, and your storyboard for your animation.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2JX234LO7Q&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVuMhOJ22Ig&feature=youtu.be A huge big thanks to Boston Scientific of Clonmel who have donated 200 euro to us for the purchase of electronic equipment. We'll look into what we can get shortly, and update you here and in the group. And thanks to Kali's dad who has given us a multimetre. I have access to an Intel Galileo Development Kit so we can look at electronics board, with our raspBerry pi's with programming in Python. Don't forget guys, that we are collecting 1e or 2e coin each week to save up for an Oculus Rift Development Kit. We need about 400e in total, so please remember to bring it in if you can. Just a reminder that we are back after the mid-term break this Wednesday 12th November 4pm - 5:30pm. This term ends on 10th Dec. For one week only, we have to move to the canteen, as the conference centre is needed for some LIT business.
I'm hoping to do some animation, so if you can get your hand on an iPad over the next few weeks, please bring them in. |
